Introduction

I'm Sunny. I'm a 20-something living in London, and trying to explore the world of meditation. I'm not an expert by any means. I'm just trying to find different ways to take some time out of my day, and calm my mind.

I've been trying to cycle through as many different techniques and methods as I can find, to find what works for me. The purpose of this blog is to explain some of these techniques, so you can try them out yourselves, and see what works for you!

Where am I finding these techniques?

Fortunately for everyone involved, I'm not going to try and invent my own techniques. Instead, I'll be reading widely, and reading some of the classic books and texts on the subject, to hopefully bring some of these age-old techniques to a wider audience!

Why am I doing this?

Some of the literature I've been reading around this topic has been genuinely transformational. But at the same time, it's often material that has been written a long time ago and is hard to understand. The purpose of this blog is to extract some of these techniques from this literature, and make them more accessible for a modern audience. There are also more accessible books I reference from, but many people often don't have time to read all of these books in their entirety. The aim of this blog is to provide you with the highlights.
